An Ortho-mode transducer(OMT) is a waveguide component. It is commonly referred to as a polarization duplexer.
OMT serves either to combine or to separate two orthogonally polarized microwave signal paths.
OMT is used in reflector antenna, which is point-to-point communication system, generally using the circular waveguide.
It makes all electricity ports having a very good match, and makes two independent signal having a high isolation.
