In January 2018, the Tongyu Communication Party Branch was listed as a key training demonstration site for the party building of the two new organizations in the district.

At present, there are 62 registered party members in the party branch, one with a college degree, and the others are all with a bachelor's degree or above, with an average age of less than 40 years old.
