This solution uses CWDM wavelength division multiplexing technology with individual channel spacing of 20nm and operating wavelengths from 1270nm to 1610nm. Usually, operators use the first 6 wavelengths (1271nm to 1371nm) for 5G fronthaul. At the same time, for some base stations with a large number of users, limited fibre resources and site resources, Tong Yu uses the first 6 wavelengths for the 5G fronthaul and the last 6 wavelengths for the 4G fronthaul, solving the problem of site sharing of 4G/5G and reducing cost.
